In the 2022 TITAN Property Awards, they encompass just those components, with everything else related directly to buildings. When it comes down to the internal spaces, interior designs are the first thing that draws the attention of potential consumers.
As more and more properties emerge in different areas across the globe, exteriors are no longer the sole factor that influences someone to make a purchase. Often, it is when they step inside the doors of the building that drives their desires to explore around, which enkindles the sparks of interest in the property more. To encourage more interior designers to step up their game, here are a few winners in the category of Interior Design that creates revolutionary concepts.
Cantonese-Style Street at KWG Ufun, Guangzhou
This project belongs under the category of a food-themed street integrated together with local cultural characteristics, enhancing the ambiance with novelty, fun, surprises, and also attractive spots for consumers to shop at. Attempting to resonate with the younger generations who set higher standards for shopping environments, the projects’ designs were a combination of the past and future. This ensures the preservation of tradition, while at the same time implementing modern characteristics to suit any demography.
Drawing on Cantonese inspirations, the street forms a commercial space filled with excitement, rearranging urban architectural frames together. With rich layers of Lingnan regional characteristics, each building is merged into a novel space full of unknown taste surprises. Their goals are fully based on allowing everyone to immerse in spatial areas while shopping, staying, photographing, and also eating there.
The star 1992 Restaurant
If you are the kind to fancy dining while surrounded by waters, The star 1992 Restaurant is your best pick, as it is just situated across the Yangjiadu Ferry. The restaurant features the Huangpu River, where consumers are able to enjoy the boundless scenery on both sides of the Straits. Restoration of the workshops, Xingfa Cement Plant
The Beijing Xingfa Cement Plant answers the call of the government for environmental protection, and they completely shut down all production lines while implementing the ecological restoration of the mining area. To rebuild the entire factory, they have transformed it into a reception center that includes various functions. In order to inherit the history and culture of the original building, all designers retained the 500-ton ore crusher and the bridge crane connecting the gravel transport channel and the roof. As part of the restoration process, they have added a new spiral staircase, stage space, art exhibition space, and outdoor leisure area, with a bar and lounge to bear more functions. Furthermore, the lighting has also been re-adjusted with the contrast being re-divided to each area. Chairs and benches were also selected with a sense of line, which symbolizes the future.
Sculpting in Time
The establishment of Tangshan Industry serves as the memory of the region’s development. Classified as a coal mining subsidence area in the past century, it is now one of the largest ecological parks in North China. Using this to their advantage, Karv One Design takes on the theme of “Sculpting in Time” for their designs, expressing a sense of structural aesthetics. For the ceiling of the layout, it can be seen as an arched formal aesthetics of classical repeated arrangement, emanating a strong sense of symbolism. With the use of bronze metal and black marble, Karv One Design has matched them with ancient columns and huge arch-shaped floor-to-ceiling windows, providing a solemn and ceremonial space texture. In addition to the white walls that radiate a sense of royalty, the architecture itself is definitely a sight to behold.
